This past week has been full of canning, dehydrating, making soup and being with family and friends.
Today, I found signs of fall.
Hidden under the mint..
pumpkins!
My favourite flower - Japanese Anemone
The grapes are alomost ready.
Fuzzy quince bottoms.
Inside the house.. 20 jars of organic peaches.
..and my new obsession - dehydrated kale chips.
I've never eaten so much kale in my life.

Sounds interesting [the chips], I love the look of your grapes.
All the things I grow and love too. Your climate is so different than down where I live as evidenced by the bounty you are getting now. I saw on Martha Stewart making kale in the oven and he sprayed the kale with pam spray before drying it in the oven. I haven't tried it yet, but will on my grandkids soon.
Lots of beauty at your garden to enjoy and taste still!!!!!

i love kale...they sound yum! you take beautiful pictures.
Fall looks great in your patch...kale and garlic are a tasty marriage!
Keep warm....the weather is changing.
Everything looks lovely and yummy.
Must be so great to have all those things in your own backyard/farm, so very different from having to go grocery shopping for everything.
Have a great week!

I love your "signs of fall" Heather. The pumpkin peeking out is a sure sign!
Such beautiful images! The organic peaches and kale chips look AMAZING! xx
Oh my goodness, I am obsessed with kale. It is strangely enough the ultimate comfort food to me (although Ethan says he feels like a cow when eating it - healthy, but still like a cow). I've never made chips though!
Everything looks just lovely...and dehydrated kale sounds really good. I love kale.

So fun about the pumpkins! I need to try Kale as keep hearing so many people rave about it.
How do you make dehydrated kale chips? or did you buy them? I would be very interested...we have a lot of kale around here!
I can't believe it is already time to start talking about fall. I'm just not ready!
Beautiful photos - maybe falls not so bad after all LOL
Dried kale is the best way to eat kale! Those peaches look delicious too. Can I come over for some kale and peaches sometime soon? ;)
Love all the photos. Not sure where you are located but reminds me of how things are beginning to look like Fall here in the Smoky Mountains too. I love Kale so I'm interested in hearing more about the dehydrated kale chips too. Something I've never heard of before but willing to try. :-)

I would like to know how to make dehydrated kale chips. My dad grows lots of it and it is so healthy for you. Carla
Lovely shots! Please tell me how you dry the kale and also what you do with all those peaches. I'd love to start canning myself.
You have the most amazing garden! I love looking at photos from your garden!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
