I mentioned I was updating my web portfolio. I have to laugh at all the shoots we have done here. I have an average house - two floors, but nothing special. We've been working on it for ten years, trying to give it old farmhouse character.
It's such a staged world - my job. When I look at these shots we did here, it makes me chuckle to know the reality of it.
The shot above was done in the same room as this shot below.

These two stories were done in the same room too. Summer white to country cozy. Voila!

Hmmm...those are very familiar stories, except for the BHG shot. Thanks for reminding me!
I particularly love that top room, and I imagine Lily ensures that the staged look doesn't apply to real life in your house for long. Is that your kitchen in the little right hand image (the shabby shack one)? I'd love to see more of it!
The pictures are beautiful... your opening shot had me the moment I clicked on your blog! Stunning. And thanks for reminding me about the whole staging thing... i wont start ripping up my home this morning... i'm sure my husband will thank you too for the reminder! :)
thrilled I discovered your blog!
happy Friday,
xo,

You do such beautiful work. I absolutely love the bottom room, and I blogged about a while ago - I had no idea you were behind it! I think I need to look into images a bit more carefully. I credit where I found the image, but not the team behind it, and now I feel like a jerk for that.
I love all the pictures but the first colorful "staged" picture...is my fave!
It is nice to be reminded about the staging process...i do that, a bit when i am having a big gathering of sorts....
have a happy weekend!
Can you come work some of that staging magic over at my house?! Looks amazing! Have a great weekend Heather!!!
